EMDR.....a big name, with big results
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, EMDR, is a psychotherapy technique that is amazingly effective in resolving emotional difficulties caused by disturbing, difficult or frightening life events. Events such as accidents, abuse, death, childhood events, divorce, social difficulties, abandonment, family problems, or relational problems. Sometimes these events get stuck in the mind and body and cause symptoms of anxiety, depression, irritability, anger, guilt, loss of security, self-esteem, and behavioral and social issues.
EMDR has a direct effect on the way the brain processes information. EMDR helps a person see the disturbing material in a new and less distressing way. It becomes something that is a part of your life story, but it is not charged anymore or causing distress.
I am so passionate about EMDR and the freedom it facilitates. I have successfully used EMDR with adults, teens, and children, and seen so many experience peace.
"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
